At Emelia's, we're always on the lookout for innovative ways to showcase our range of sauces and dressings. This month, we're thrilled to introduce our French Orange Dressing, which is on a special sale, and our Taste of Mexico, a dipping sauce that promises to elevate every bite.
Prawn Dumplings: Inspired by Marion's Kitchen
Ingredients:
- 300g peeled and deveined prawns
- 5 water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp finely chopped spring onion
- 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander
- 2 tbsp finely grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove, finely grated
- 1 egg white
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 30 gyoza wrappers
Method:
- Finely chop the prawns until uniformly minced.
- In a bowl, combine the prawns with the remaining filling ingredients. Mix vigorously until the mixture becomes 'sticky'.
- Place a tablespoon of the filling into the center of a gyoza wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold and seal tightly, ensuring no air pockets remain. Repeat with the remaining filling and wrappers.
- Cook the dumplings in simmering water for 5-6 minutes or until cooked through.
Asian Slaw:
Ingredients:
- 1/4 red cabbage
- 1/4 white cabbage
- 1 large celery stick
- 1/4 purple onion
- 1/4 large red capsicum
- 1 large red chilli
- 1 large peeled carrot
- 1 handful washed coriander leaves
- 125ml Emelia’s French Orange Dressing
Method:
- Wash & dry all vegetables. Shred or finely slice both cabbages and place them in a large bowl.
- Thinly slice the onion, capsicum, celery, and chilli. Add to the cabbage.
- Grate the carrot and add to the mix along with coriander leaves.
- Add the French Orange Dressing dressing to the slaw and mix well.
Serving: Arrange the dumplings on a plate with a ramekin filled with the Taste of Mexico sauce. Serve the Asian Slaw on the side.
