Ingredients:
- 1 x leg ham
- 1 x large orange
- 1 x jar of Emelia’s Orange & Ginger Glaze
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Begin by removing the skin from the ham. Gently insert your thumb between the skin and fat layer, and slide your fingers along to peel off the skin, leaving a nice layer of fat.
- With a sharp knife, score the fat layer both ways to create a diamond pattern across the fat.
- Using a basting brush, spread around half of the jar of Emelia’s Orange & Ginger Glaze all over the ham, covering both the meat and fat.
- Place the ham in the oven and bake for around 30 minutes. Check the ham every 10 minutes and re-glaze with the juices from the bottom of the pan using the basting brush.
- While the ham is baking, thinly slice your orange.
- After 30 minutes, remove the ham from the oven and cover it with the orange slices. Use the whole cloves as pins to hold the orange slices in place.
- Give the orange slices a coating of the Orange & Ginger Glaze and place the ham back in the oven for another 15 minutes or until the oranges start to caramelize.
- Serve hot, warm, or cold as desired.
Tips and Tricks:
- For an extra zesty kick, consider adding some lemon zest or a touch of honey to the glaze.
- If cloves are not to your liking, toothpicks can be used to secure the orange slices onto the ham.
